Where can you volunteer

How can we help you find volunteer opportunities?

This box will lead you to a database of national athletics federations and organisations.  These organisations can provide the support necessary so that your project can be validated and thereby be eligible for support, recognition and our awards.

If you are aware of an organisation that would like to be a part of our community and get more volunteers, let us know so that we can help them.

To encourage and reward our active members, we are developing a system of recognition and awards backed by the community’s strategic partners – European Athletics, UNESCO and the national athletics federations in the 50 countries of Europe - and the contact organisations that work with the community.

Volunteer Support

You are probably already aware that athletics, like most sports, depends on volunteer work. You also know that you can volunteer to help events, clubs and other organisations deliver important activities that benefit sport and local communities.

Volunteering is a great way to show your support.  It is also fun and it can bring you a number of benefits.

Promoting volunteering for athletics-related activities is a core aim of the European Athletics Young Leaders Community.  We would like to show the world how much our members care about the sport by counting the time we donate - and then increasing it!

If you are interested in volunteering, we will offer the following forms of support:

  • A database of organisations that are looking for volunteers or support volunteer work
  • A chance to document your own volunteer work through your Young Leaders Community profile.

We are also developing a system of recognition and awards for volunteers that is backed by the community’s strategic partners – European Athletics, UNESCO and the national athletics federations in the 50 countries of Europe.
