    I am back after a long time. I did not write because we had some problems in the past few months. But in the beginning of May, we started to work outside. The director of Skanzen, where our event will take place, is a very enthusiastic person. He made an agreement with one of the high school of Szentendre, the closest city. So on Monday morning 150 students worked in the Skanzen. – I think this is one of the biggest volunteer program in the history of the school and, of course, the Skanzen.

  • 9th European Cup Race Walking - 3 Weeks to go

    One would say it wasn't that long since the moment I packed my things and got on the road back home in the aftermath of the European Cross Country Championships - Albufeira 2010. Yet, the calendar closes in on the next European Athletics event.

    The 9th European Cup Race Walking takes place in the Algarve town of Olhão, on May 21st, and excitement has been building up.   • We practice Sport for Life and we love it!

    My name is Ioana Mucenic and I am one of the first members of the Young Leaders Community, having attended the European Athletics-UNESCO Young Leaders Forum last year in Barcelona where the community was launched.

    I am the leader of a volunteer association in Romania called Sport for Life, which has just become a partner in the community. We have about 100 active volunteers and most of them will join as community members in the next days and weeks.
