  • Velenje Children Athletic League

    Last week I talked with community member Sabina Alihodzic from Velenje, Slovenia, where the 18th SPAR European Cross Country Championships will be staged next month. Sabina has been leading an interesting project called Children Athletic League and working with the Athletics Club Velenje and several other volunteers.

  • “On Camp with Kelly”

    Have you read the latest news story?

    I am really impressed by the programme “On Camp with Kelly”. Started by Kelly Holmes, double gold medalist at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, it supports 59 young British athletes in the middle-distances, events where Europe has not been doing as well as other parts of the world, especially Africa, in the last 10 or 15 years.

  • Ranking the community: Register your hours for the month of November

    Hi everybody,

    The Country ranking for both September and October is now available. In my opinion, the improvement is a bit disappointing but it’s probably because of the end of the track season… Actually, I am confident that we will see some good move in the next weeks thanks to the European Athletics Cross Country Championships in Velenje.

    This month, Norway got a 3rd place for the number of hours registered. I didn’t expect this improvement! It’s basically one person who registered his hours for this last year. I take this opportunity to remind you to register ...
