  • I was at the IOC Conference in Amsterdam

    At the beginning of last week I participated in the 8th IOC World Conference on Sport, Culture and Education in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on behalf of European Athletics and UNESCO. It was a very interesting gathering with many top leaders from the sports world and governments present for discussions on how sport contributes to society as a whole. I am thankful I got the chance to be there and experience it.

  • Hello Young Leaders

    Dear Community members,

    As a new member of European Athletics’ staff in Lausanne, I am pleased to introduce myself to the Young Leaders community. My name is Alexandre Ramolet, I am from France and live in the French town of Evian-les-Bains. I took my first license in an athletics club when I was 9 but had already participated in a few kids races before. During my teen years and up to 22, I mostly ran 800m and 400m. Then I stopped to complete my studies in sport management and start my job career. I am now a recreational runner.

  • II PRONAF race, 16-Dec-2012

    On December 16th (2011), the 1st International Congress PRONAF (PROgrammes on Nutrition and Physical Activity for the treatment of overweight and obesity) was carried out in Spain implemented by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. On December 16th 2012, a year after the Congress, the Physical Education and Sport college of Madrid is organizing a race in order to bring back all those people involved and interested in a fun run around the campus. The first edition of this race had a total of 400 participants. But these guys are ambitious and for this year they targeted 800 participants!!
