  • SALTO-YOUTH Training Couse in Portugal (7-13/July)

    SALTO-YOUTH is organizing a training course that will take place in Cascais, Portugal, from 7th to 13th of July 2013. The program is titled: “SPORTING YOUNG CITIZENS: Creating inclusive sport activities for the active involvement of our Youth”.

    This interactive training is designed to motivate youth workers to use sport and physical activity as a tool for increasing the active participation and inclusion of young people in society, with a focus on those with fewer opportunities.

  • Running at the track or at the park?

    Since I was a kid, I ran at the track. More especifically I did the 400 meter hurdles and when I say that to the general public, they have a pain expression on their faces. Then I say: “Yes, that’s called the men race”. I have to say, that my passion was running on the track because I loved the feeling of speed while running with track spikes. Those shoes seem to be magic!!

    I took part in the Women in World Athletics Seminar in Solihull, near Birmingham, from 12 to 15 April.

    The seminar was very well prepared and I had a tremendous time in Solihull with women working in athletics in different countries. You could feel an amazing atmosphere and magical relation between participants and speakers.

    It was a great experience for me; very valuable and inspiring. To be with all these great women made me feel more motivated and ready for action as an athletics leader in my country. The seminar made me believe not to be afraid to take initiatives ...
