    When you think about athletics, what does it come to your mind?

    It could be many things: you and your friends running on a beach going up and down to avoid the waves; or a group of kids running on the street, the park or a local club; maybe you think of a world championship final; maybe a big stadium with the throwers screaming when they release the shot, or maybe you think of the Olympic Games atmosphere.

    My name is Gary Campbell Grieve. A 24 year old EVS volunteer with the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) in Copenhagen, Denmark. I was born and raised in Scotland where I also started as an 800m athlete.     The European Athlete as Student Network (EAS) encourages all young researchers in the field of sport to enter its call for papers. The scholarship is named after the founder of EAS, Mr. Bengt Nybelius and it promotes researches in the field of dual career of athletes.
